Purpose

Vintage Presents helps you buy and sell authentic items from a specific date or year. These could make interesting and original birthday presents or anniversary gifts for someone else, or might even be things you would like for yourself.

History

Vintage Presents was started to try to sell my old childhood comic collection. I'd seen bundles of them languish on the major platforms for months with zero interest, and one day joked that "you'd have thought someone would be buying them to sell individually as quirky born-on-this-day birthday presents or something". Although initially meant as a spur-of-the-moment throwaway comment, I started to think about the idea more, and realised that current ecommerce platforms allow you to search by product or category but not by date, so there may be an opportunity for something new.
